I started sewing as a child on my mothers Singer treadle machine, making clotDettehes for my dolls. I began making quilts when our 3 daughters started having children and wanted baby quilts. Later I took quilting classes at a local continuing education. I have been making quilts for about 14 years. I did most of my quilting on my domestic machine. About 4 years ago, we purchased a Ken Quilt Longarm. I have been taking classes at IMQA (International Machine Quilters Association) for the past 3 years. I love quiltilng on charity quilts for our local quild. For the last two years, I have been quilting for hire.

We bought a Brother embroidery machine about 7 years ago, and turned to my handy man husband, Bernie and said, "How do I work this ?" He became the expert and has been doing all of the embroidery work since then. We have an embroidery business, Embroid-N-Time. He has done alot of emboidery work on towels, shirts, bags and church vestments. He also does his own digitizing work. The biggest job was digitizing a cross and making 120 church vestments.

The joke among my quilting buddies is that I have to ask Bernard for permission to use the quilting machine!
