Rich Uhlrich

How do you open a new store in an empty building on a moment’s notice, when you don’t have any store fixtures or racks? Simple………you phone your local antiques dealer (who is not currently involved with any retail space) and offer to consign his beautiful antiques to be used for display for your crafts items. Laugh if you must, but it worked!!!
Having purchased items of antique furniture from Rich in the past, we were well aware of his “stash”, occupying at LEAST a couple of garages and barns. Therefore, nearly ALL of the antique furniture that is for sale in the shop belongs to Rich. When we sell one of his pieces, we call him and he delivers a replacement, ensuring a turnover of items, and a new look to the shop every time. (How wonderful is THAT?)
Rich is a local carpenter/contractor who saves his weekends to attend estate auctions. And after he “repairs & refinishes”, he displays his wonderful finds here at Prairie PastTimes. And we all WIN! If you’re looking for something in particular, we can put you in contact with Rich. You just never know what he has in his “stash”.
Rich can be reached at (620) 273-6697.
