Sharon Mock
Sharon has a BA and MA from Kansas State University in Painting and Drawing. She worked for 30 years as an Art Teacher at the Council Grove High School; she retired in 2000. She has also taught KSU Extension Art Classes and Adult Classes in Painting and Ceramincs at Butler County Community College.
Sharon has commissioned murals at the Morris County Courthouse, at the Council Grove Post Office, in the schools, at the Library, and in local Churches. And she has cone commissioned paintings for many homes and businesses in the area.
For Prairie PastTimes, Sharon paints and sells all manner of highly painted/decorated gourds, tinware, etc. She also sells her work at Branson Mill Craft Village in Branson, Missouri; at Kansas Originals at Wilson, Kansas; at Alexander ArtWorks and Flint Hills Florist in Council Grove; and at the Gallery at Cottonwood Falls.
She has participated in and produced Arts and Crafts Shows for many years. Sharon is a member of the Council Grove Arts Council.
