Prairie PastTimes is a concept developed by Sue Smith. As a merchant on Broadway in Cottonwood Falls, Sue simply cannot tolerate beautiful old empty buildings. So, rent a building - figure out a way to make it pay for itself, and get busy! Thus, Prairie PastTimes was born. An artesian co-op around the edge - music in the center. And use all of the space every chance you get!
Sue owns the Emma Chase Cafe and Country Store. And the Emma Chase Music Hall, where guests to the community can join in on a 8 Wonder of Kansas / Customs Friday night jam session or attend one of the many Saturday evening professional music performances.
Sue is also one of our craftpersons. You'll find for sale, jars and jars of "Miss Emma's Signature Home-made AppleButter".
She serves as our "Coordinator", and our "Benevolent Dictator". She is our cracker-jack advertising gal. Husband, Monty is the store accountant and computer feller. Also, janitor, lightbulb changer and sound equipment guy.
